Preconcentrator Tubes (PCTs)The predecessor to the U.S. Army Chemical Materials Agency developed thermal desorption tube monitoring methods for chemical warfare agents to be implemented at U.S. Chemical Weapons Depots. That method became known as The Depot Area Air Monitoring System (DAAMS). The method has been in use for over 25 years now. Camsco® has been a leader in the development of quality standards and innovations for DAAMS since 1991. Preconcentrator tubes are used for near real time monitoring and surveillance at worldwide military chemical weapons storage sites, surety labs, research laboratories and NATO military theaters. PCTs are consumable TD tubes that selectively preconcentrate CW agents used in ABB ACAMS and CMS (OI analytical) Minicams. All PCTs are pressure drop tested to ensure proper flow rates. All sorbents are preconditioned. Certificates of Compliance are provided to address site specific requirements. PCTs are installed only once and are cycled up to 2,000 over the course of 3-4 days and then discarded thus lacking a need for LIMS tracking or labeling. Camsco provides many options, including our patented ceramic barcode, high temperature barcode labels, laser bonded color ceramic appliqués and color ceramic bands and dots facilitating lot identification and simplifying LIMS management. Additionally, we offer centerless grinding, ground ends, chamfers, lapping, annealing, polishing and fire-polishing.
